My passion is helping others find and develop their potential. I love learning and growing myself in order to bring best practices to others- both in yoga and in my psychology practice. I love the outdoors, my family, and travel. Very grateful for this yogi club and all the amazing resources and practices offered here!!
Wow! My profile picture looks really sassy!! I'm keeping it!! :)

What noise have I been carrying that isn’t mine?
Love how you have added the visualizations to help connect with the muscles!!
Thanks for this practice! Now that the glutes are activated- I'm heading out for a walk!
@Lisa Yazdani, get those peaches ready for Mardi Gras!
Thanks for those ideas! I’ll revisit the chair class training. It’s always a challenge to make a class that is accessible to everyone who attends, but it’s a good challenge!
Question: If you have students with very, very large bellies and say they are uncomfortable in poses on stomach, what is your best suggestion? Eliminate those poses? Offer blankets or props? What exactly would you suggest?
@Lisa Yazdani That is a tricky one. But I do hear you. I am assuming you are referring more to the extension strengthening poses? Revisit the chair section in the AYAMA course level 3 when we do chair yoga. So that would be 1. Another is to do more things like chair and warrior one. Look at all the different ways I teach it.

So glad to have this series! I am the poster-child for having done all the wrong stretches for my wrists- every single one you pointed out, I've done. So, glad to be correcting this!

In the yoga world, we've been misinformed that we need to stretch and that it's good for us! But this couldn't be further from the truth. Stretching weakens our muscles, causes pain, and even increases our risk of injury. This is because stretching breaks the neuromuscular connection so the muscle's ability to contract on demand diminishes. In this short video I will show you the 7 yoga stretches you should never do and what you can do instead!
Excellent recap of what not to stretch! I"m shocked you didn't say child's pose, though. :)
Mama Mia! This is an excellent and challenging class! Lots of bang for the buck here in a short sequence!
Love the neck work! Need a little more guidance please on pulling the chin in toward throat. Not sure I'm doing that correctly.
@Lisa Yazdani thanks! I love getting into the neck.
Tonight in the FAQ ask me about it.
