My passion is helping others find and develop their potential. I love learning and growing myself in order to bring best practices to others- both in yoga and in my psychology practice. I love the outdoors, my family, and travel. Very grateful for this yogi club and all the amazing resources and practices offered here!!

Question: If you have students with very, very large bellies and say they are uncomfortable in poses on stomach, what is your best suggestion? Eliminate those poses? Offer blankets or props? What exactly would you suggest?
In the yoga world, we've been misinformed that we need to stretch and that it's good for us! But this couldn't be further from the truth. Stretching weakens our muscles, causes pain, and even increases our risk of injury. This is because stretching breaks the neuromuscular connection so the muscle's ability to contract on demand diminishes. In this short video I will show you the 7 yoga stretches you should never do and what you can do instead!
Excellent recap of what not to stretch! I"m shocked you didn't say child's pose, though. :)
Mama Mia! This is an excellent and challenging class! Lots of bang for the buck here in a short sequence!

61 Point Relaxation is a practice that starts to move Prana, life force energy, throughout your body. Key Point 1 Practice this laying down and systematically send a breath to each of the 61 marma points. Key Point 2 A marma point is an energetic center in the body. Marma points are closely related to chakras and acupuncture points. Key Point 3 This practice brings the body into a very deep and relaxed state. Take the Quiz
This is a very relaxing practice- love it!
I think the quiz asked where the 61 point relaxation ends and the correct answer was the crown of the head, but in the handout and practice, it was the center of the forehead/third eye.
Thanks for those ideas! I’ll revisit the chair class training. It’s always a challenge to make a class that is accessible to everyone who attends, but it’s a good challenge!
