These techniques also offer an amazing door to access interception and proprioception, awareness of our bodies, and bringing the mind to focus on sensations of the body, awareness. This is critical in in building nervous system resilience. Widening the tolerance window as they call it, between parasympathetic and sympathetic activation. Ultimately leading to a place where the body is better able to handle stress (physical AND mental) to keep a balanced state. Instead of spending so much time in over sympathetic drive of fight of flight. It’s a really cool complementary set of techniques to use along with nervous system strengthening and resilience yoga that I’ve just begun teaching kids with ADHD and autism. Starting very slowly ;) <3
