12-Minutes: Why You Should Stop Doing Child's Pose
12:47
Child's pose is a very popular yoga posture practiced in most yoga classes today. But unfortunately, this posture passively stretches the hip flexors and back muscles which breaks the body-mind connection and makes the muscles unable to contract on demand. This increases your risk of injury and can cause and/or increase pain in the body.
Watch this video to:
- dive deeper into why you should stop doing child's pose
- learn ways that you can muscle test at home to feel the effects of child's pose on your own body
- and discover what you might do instead of a child's pose in your next yoga class
